Single Event Ticket On-Sale Date Delayed for 2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships®

OTTAWA, ON:  Decisions at the International Skating Union’s (ISU) Congress, held this week in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, will have an impact on the working schedule that was in place for the 2013 ISU World Figure Skating Championships®.

As a result, Skate Canada will delay the on-sale date for single tickets until it has a more defined event schedule from the ISU.

“We know people have been anticipating the sale of single event tickets, and we do apologize for this delay,” said William Thompson, Skate Canada’s CEO.  “In fairness to our fans, we feel that until we have the final decisions from the ISU on the schedule, it would be inappropriate to put the single event tickets on sale.”

Thompson continued, “We are looking forward to hosting these championships next March in London, Ontario, Canada, and seeing the best skaters in the world competing here in 2013.”

No date has yet been determined for a future on-sale date for single event tickets. It will be announced as soon as final decisions have been received from the ISU.
